Dear Family,
Just to let you know that Lynne's eye surgery went well yesterday morning. She had a cataract removed from her left eye, a lens implant, plus her left pupil was repaired. (She was born with this pupil defect.) The big moment came this morning when the bandage was removed. Her vision was a bit fuzzy at first, but can see 20/70, or about a power of a -2.00. The eye will undergo some fluctuation over the next month or so, but Dr. Snip said this was to be expected.
She goes back on Monday Morning for a follow-up. Also, this Friday we meet with Dr. Vollmer, the neurosurgeon, to discuss further neck surgery.
More to follow.
