Several have asked how things are going so I will try to recap for you.
PT - still working with walker going further, around corners, carpet to tile, etc. Since I still do not have full feeling in my feet or legs I really have to watch what I am doing. Also working on balance and stride. I can transfer myself from my wheelchair to my recliner and back. My standing balance is much improved.
OT - still feels like I have pebbles in my hands and fingers making it hard to distinguish other objects. Can hold 10 lbs. in a bowl with both hands together. Activities with pegs, clothespins, arc moving plastic chips from left to right and back again, and ladder 10 pegs high are all getting quicker. Still have much difficulty writing.
Both of these I do for an hour each 3 times a week. A friend has been taking me one day a week giving Russell a break and time to do other things.
I have been released to work 10 - 15 hours per week. They are starting a computer conversion to PeopleSoft and need my help, among other things.
The boys will be in Houston this weekend for the annual Leadership Training for Christ convention with about 4000 other kids. The topic is "Doing right in the eyes of the Lord" and they are participating in art, puppets, chorus. and Bible reading.
I plan to sing with the chorus for Easter services on Sunday.
Thanks for the continued prayers. In my humanness it is often hard to not worry what the future holds and take just one day at a time.
Love, peace, and grace to all,
Lynne
