On Christmas Eve the facade of my sister's fireplace fell on her. She has a severe spinal injury and is undergoing rehabilitation in the hospial. At first, she had no feeling from her neck down. Day by day a litle bit comes back. She is having to learn to do things all over again. Her mind tells her body what to do, but it is not responding. From the onset she has listened to her Christian radio station in San Antonio. She has played numerous contemporary christian CDs. She has touched so many lives.
One of the songs that has touched her deeply is the song you sing called, "I Know, You Know". Especially the chorus. I know you know just what I need, I know you have a plan for me. So I'm gonna take your lead and I won't worry what the future holds, cause I know you know. Lord, you're faithful in everything, everything. You're the rock I'm leaning on.
Thank you for the words to this song.
Sincerely,
Teresa

Teresa-
We'd love to take the praise but we know the gift as well as the words come from the Lord. We have had your sister on our prayer list for the last month and wanted to check on her progress. Please let us know.

Hi,
...I wanted to share a little history of what that song has meant to me. In the spring of 1998 my company was put up for sale. As a Christian, I was convicted that the way to wait with God was in faith, hope, and trust - very different than worrying without God. As the days and months wore on, being human, some days are better than others in maintaining this positive attitude. I prayed one particular morning that God would forgive my humanness and reaffirm in me that He was still in control and He was waiting with me. As I got in the car to go to work, "I Know You Know" was on the radio. So you see, your song was God's way of speaking directly to me in answer to my prayer. I also went at lunch that day to buy the CD and played it over and over, and shared my story with many others.
That lesson in waiting lasted 5 months. I had no idea what it was preparing me for. After my accident I was told that spinal chord injuries usually take 12 to 18 months to heal. Another BIG lesson in trusting that "He knows just what I need". Although I am still confined to a wheelchair at this time, I am slowly learning to walk on a walker, my hands are getting stronger (I typed this myself). Most of all, God has really been working on my heart - and many others in the process. "When I am weak, He is truly strong"
Thank you for the continued prayers. We are praying for complete healing and for opportunities to share my testimony with others to the glory of God.
May God continue to bless your ministry,
Lynne

Lynne-
Thank you so much for sharing your story with us. It is such an encouragement to us to know that God's work is being accomplished through us and that one of our songs was able to speak to you. It helps make the long days with no sleep away from our familes and friends worth the cost! :)
Additionally, we are happy to hear your recovery is going so well. Praise to Him! We'll continue to stand with you in prayer for complete recovery. Be sure to drop us a line from time to time to keep us updated on your progress.
In Christ Alone,
Holly
