Praise God! This is been a week of significant milestones and I wanted to share them with you:
Russell will finish up his classes on June 28. Then he has five tests to take before he completes his MCSE certification. He may retake the module that was in progress during the time that I was in the hospital, since he missed so much. Please remember him in your prayers, as this is very stressful for him.
I give thanks and praise to God for his continuous love and strength, which helps me make it through each day. Blessings to all of you.

Praise God! This is been a week of significant milestones and I wanted to share them with you:
- Friday I got my own walker to use at home. It is a deluxe model, with bicycle brakes and four wheels. The brakes also lock which makes it easier for me to use it to stand up. I will be working in therapy to learn how to navigate curbs and steps, and also to increase my endurance so that I can use it other places as well. The most exciting thing about this so far, is that I can finally go to the bathroom by myself.
- Friday I also conquered my fear of the floor. The last couple times I have been on the floor have not been very pleasant, and in fact have been rather scary for me because it is very difficult to get back up. Friday I was down on all fours, crawling on a mat! When we tried that a few months ago while I was in the hospital, with a therapist on each arm and leg, I was still unable to do it. Friday I was even able to raise one arm up and do circles with it. I was even able to push my self up and come to a sitting position on the big mat above the floor by myself.
- I graduated to a new bicycle! No longer do I get the nice comfortable stationary bikes with a back to lean on - now I'm ready for a bike with a regular bicycle seat, pedals to push and handles that go back and forth all at the same time, requiring me to shift my weight and exercise coordination. "Don't worry, I won't let you fall off", said my therapist. Trust - I've had to learn to do that in many ways over the past five months.
Russell will finish up his classes on June 28. Then he has five tests to take before he completes his MCSE certification. He may retake the module that was in progress during the time that I was in the hospital, since he missed so much. Please remember him in your prayers, as this is very stressful for him.
