Dear Friends and Family;
Here is the update on Lynne's condition as of 4:30 P.M.
Lynne was moved out of ICU last night. She is in an intermediate care area of the hospital, Room 751. She has a little more feeling in her hands and arms & can move a little bit better today than yesterday. Progress is slow, but I will still take whatever I can get.
Dr. Paynter, from the Rehab unit stopped by to evaluate her this afternoon before the boys and left the hospital this afternoon. She is wanting to start some therapy to help out with the range of motion in her hands and wrists. This is a direct answer to prayer. They will start with some very limited exercises this weekend, and get more into it on Tuesday.
Roger, Lynne's Dad, came in yesterday evening, and will be here for awhile to help Lynne get better, and to help out around here with the day to day stuff. Right now, our house looks like 4 bachelors are living in it! (Don't tell Lynne!!!) David, Phyllis, Kayla and Kevin left this afternoon after being here a couple of days. I appreciat their support and prayers on our behalf. Thanks, Dave!!!!
The boys and I are doing alright. It finally hit Eric around 5:30 P.M. that he misses his mom. A family from our church brought in some more food, & I was getting things ready for them to eat, while I typed out this update. He threw his arms around me, started crying & said "I miss my mom". I stopped what I was doing, we sat down in my recliner, and had a cry together. It was good for both of us. They have both been great, and we all deserve our moments whe we miss our mom.
Keep those prayers going,
Russell
