Greetings from San Antonio!
Lynne continues to amaze me with her courage and her love.
Yesterday, the chorus at her church gathered for a special time of prayer for her, then called her to sing and pray over the phone. I held the phone to her ear as they sang, "Glory to the King of Kings... Lord with eyes unveiled we will see your throne... Prince of Peace, Son of God, Emmanuel!"
There wasn't a dry eye in the room.
Lynne still does not have any use of her hands. She loves to have her hands rubbed and her fingers curled and uncurled because she feels the heat. She can clench her fist, but she cannot unclench it or use her fingers. The doctors are still saying they are waiting for the swelling to go down so they can do surgery. Please continue to pray that God will heal her - by whatever means - soon.
My dad is flying in today (Thursday) to see her and to help repair the fireplace. My sister and niece are driving back to Denver. My family and I will be traveling between Austin, where we are staying with Phyllis' family, and San Antonio. We plan to return to Lubbock on Friday. Please pray for traveling mercies during this stressful time.
Please continue to remember my brother-in-law, Russell, and nephews Eric and Aaron. God is drawing this family closer to each other and to him.
God has blessed all of us in countless ways during this time, for which we are humbly grateful. Thank you all so much for your love and support.
