Dear Family and Friends,
Thank you for the continued prayers for Lynne, Russell, Eric, & Aaron. We are blessed to have so many Christian friends!
Mike, Bryan and I just got back from San Antonio. It was a quick trip, but we managed to take Eric and Aaron to their first Spurs game. Although the Spurs got beat quite badly, we enjoyed the time together. We left Lynne and Russell home to relax for awhile.
This past week, March 14th, Lynne's co-worker and one of the vice presidents of the company (Travis Lynch) passed away at the age of 61 from prostate cancer. Lynne and Russell went to the funeral on Friday. It, once again, puts into perspective how quickly life passes.
Lynne is making progress every day. While we were there, the phone rang. The cordless phone was laying on the couch. Lynne reached over, picked it up, pressed phone, and answered the call all by herself. I said, "I didn't know that you could do that!!" She just smiled. Then, at breakfast, Lynne had a 16oz glass of milk in one of those sipper seals put out by Tupperware. Anyway, she picked it up by herself (with her left hand) and drank her milk!! She said if she's really tired she has a harder time with the glass, but what I saw her do with my own eyes was fabulous!!
On Friday, Russell took her to her therapy. She has been working on the parallel bars during P.T. Russell said that Friday Lynne made forward progress. In fact, his words were, "She walked"! (even though she still cannot feel her feet)
Russell went to school on Saturday. Mary Netherland (Phyllis’ mom) came to spend the day with Lynne. We are blessed to have a RN for such a good friend!!
I would like to close by sharing the words to the song Lora reminded us of a few months ago. "Little by Little in every day, little by little in every way, Jesus is changing me, He's changing me. Sometimes it's slow going, but there's a knowing that someday perfect I will be."
Please continue to pray for healing and endurance.
God bless,
Teresa
