Good Morning To All;
Here is the latest update on Lynne:
Yesterday, around 5PM, the nurse was checking up on Lynne, doing the normal temp, BP, medication, etc. She was asking Lynne if she could feel this or that, & what she could move, Lynne proceeded to move her left arm & hand up to her ear! the nurse asked her to do it again, just to see if she wasn't seeing things, so she did it again! Thanks be to God! This is a BIG step!
She has been experiencing a headache in the back of her head, but an ice pack has helped that some. Her ankle that is broken & ligaments torn has been bothering her, & she thinks the cast may be too tight, but since she is flat on her back, and cannot have her leg elevated, plus a lot of fluid build up from the steroids is what is causing the discomfort. but pain is also a good thing in this case.
The massive doses of steroids has ended after the first 48 hours, and another medication to help reduce the swelling in the spinal cord will start this morning.
We have felt your prayers, and they have been much appreciated. We still solicit your prayers for Lynne's recovery. Our church family has been great to reach out to all 4 of us via visits, phone calls, giving the boys a place to stay while I take care of details with Lynne, insurance, and lawyer.
I will keep all of you posted. If you know someone who knows Lynne, please feel free to forward this letter to them, so they can offer prayers to God on her behalf.
